The Biggest Issue on Election Day

Updated: Jan 22, 2021

I’m sure most of you are sitting down with your breakfast, on your lunch break or when you get home from work to watch the coverage of the 2020 Presidential Election. I will be doing the same. And I also bet a lot of you are ready for that big map on the TV to start turning red or blue respectively. And I am sure that half of you will think the world as we know it is over if it doesn’t go your way.

Well, you aren’t the most upset group in America. That group is the color blind American’s who don’t get the opportunity of that visual that you “normies” enjoy. None of you know how frustrating it is to not see our great country lit up in the dazzling blue and red of the two party system.

These huge networks are alienating about 10.5 million men and women from knowing what state voted for what candidate. Not only that, they refuse to do such an easy thing and stick a “D” or “R” on the state to accompany the color. Does the bigotry never end? This bigotry knows no political border. Whether it be Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, NewsMax or OAN, none of them consider the struggle of the color blind American.

Society as a whole doesn’t care about color blind Americans. Stop lights, water coolers and condiment dispensers are just a few everyday items that we are forced to struggle with. The plight of the color blind American is one that has gone unnoticed for way too long.

I propose, as a self-declared spokesman for the color blind community, we go on a letter writing campaign and boycott the major news networks for not taking our struggle seriously. This is pure hatred toward the color blind community and I, for one, won’t stand for it any longer.
